About these terms
These terms govern use of gethomesteadapp.com, including its informational pages, survey, and download links. "Homestead," "we," and "us" refer to [confirm operator identity before publication]. Questions may be sent to [email protected] (planned contact address; mailbox not yet active).
Please read these terms before using the website. If you do not agree, do not use it. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Development status and pricing
Homestead is in active development. Screenshots may show development builds, sample data, or functionality that is partial, planned, or unavailable in a particular edition. Feature descriptions and roadmaps are not guarantees of delivery or release dates.
Unless clearly stated otherwise at an actual purchase checkout, displayed paid-tier names, prices, billing options, and feature allocations are proposals subject to change. The website currently does not sell paid editions or start subscriptions. Completing a survey does not purchase, reserve, or activate an edition. It does not authorize a charge or an automatic upgrade.
Downloads and software licensing
Download pages describe the version, requirements, and known limitations of the supplied packages. Development previews may contain errors or incomplete functionality. Read the installation and release notes, back up your data, and use a separate testing environment where appropriate. The current preview is intended for a trusted home network, not direct public-internet exposure.
These website terms are not a software license and do not grant rights to redistribute, modify, or commercially exploit the Homestead application. Software and third-party components are governed by their applicable license terms. An unresolved software license must be addressed separately; publishing these website terms does not resolve it.
Your content and use of the website
Use the website lawfully. Do not submit malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, overwhelm its services, impersonate others, or submit information you have no right to share.
Homestead does not supply movies, television, music, books, or other third-party media. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions required for media and services you use. Displayed artwork, titles, and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply endorsement or partnership.
Survey feedback and signup
Submitting feedback is voluntary. You retain ownership of your feedback and permit us to review and use it to evaluate and improve Homestead without a payment obligation. This permission does not authorize us to publish your personal information contrary to the Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential material, credentials, or sensitive personal information.
Email signup is optional and limited to the availability updates described beside the signup control. It does not create a user account or guarantee access to a future release. See the Privacy Policy for information about data collection and your choices.
Developer tester program
Applying to become a developer tester is voluntary and does not guarantee selection, an account, a license, support, or continued access. Selected testers may be invited to install unstable development builds, protect their own data with backups, reproduce problems, and provide useful feedback. Do not depend on a development build for production use.
Accepted testers may receive no-cost, time-limited Pro development access after the licensing service supports activation. The invitation will state the access period and any additional testing conditions. Development access is not a paid subscription, does not renew automatically, has no cash value, and may expire or be revoked. Temporary access does not promise that every advertised or planned feature is complete or functional.
Voluntary support and external services
Donations are processed on GoFundMe under its terms and applicable payment policies. A contribution supports development; it does not purchase a license, subscription, equity interest, paid-tier access, or a guaranteed feature or delivery date. Review the fundraiser and GoFundMe's policies before contributing. These terms do not override any refund rights provided by GoFundMe or applicable law.
Links to external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites or guarantee their availability or content. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. Third-party integrations may require separate accounts, fees, permissions, and compatible services.
Website materials
Except for materials owned by others or expressly licensed differently, website text, graphics, and branding remain the property of their respective rights holders. You may link to the website and share its public URLs. Additional reuse rights must come from an applicable license, permission, or law.
Availability and responsibility
